A reader told Bleeping Computer that these updates actually "*cause* printing problems where there weren't any printing problems previously", adding: "That is ironic because those updates are specially supposed to solve printing problems."

Ironic, indeed. Apparently the print spooler service doesn't stay going after installing the cumulative update, but everything goes back to normal after uninstalling the KB4524147 patch.

In addition, but the new cumulative update can also be causing problems with the beginning menu (again) whereby it crashes and won't operate - not until Microsoft's patch is taken away. Nasty…

Boot failure

In addition to that, the 19.12.3 build removes several bugs that lead to problems when using Performance Metrics Overlay, Radeon ReLive, Radeon FreeSync, and Radeon Anti-Lag, and fixes a few issues with Radeon RX 5500 XT, RX 5700 XT, and Radeon RX 500 series graphics products.

Moreover, AMD seems to fix an issue regarding newly added game profiles (may neglect to enable), ensures users can select dropdowns in graphics settings for Tessellation Mode, and resolves other small problems as highlighted in the Release Note below.

However, version 19.12.3 might still notice a few problems with some Radeon R9 200, R9 300 and R9 Fury series GPUs, certain Vulkan gaming applications, as well as with games such as Battlefield V and Mortal Kombat 11.

Regarding compatibility, besides a supported GPU, take into account that your configuration must be managing a 64-bit variant of Microsoft's Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems. Also, it comes with an "Auto-Detect and Install" package that downloads the right driver for the hardware.
